Reach for Learning’s summer program is dedicated to providing the skills
students need to achieve their academic potential.
Our individualized instruction:
- Is interactive, positive and fun!
- Builds skills and increases self-confidence
- Focuses on meeting the unique needs of each student
- Involves learning games as well designed instructional tools
Reading: Instruction may include: strategies and techniques for decoding and sight words,
phonics, vocabulary building, critical reading and thinking strategies to improve
comprehension, fluency and expression
Writing: Basic writing and editing skills to increase writing fluency, improve sentence
structure and expression; includes strategies for brainstorming and organization of ideas
Expository Writing: Examines expository essay writing and revising techniques,
organization, formulation of theses statements and clear arguments, analytical techniques
and editing.
Basic Math Skills: A hands-on multi-sensory way of learning math and pre-algebra.
Instruction will review and strengthen basic skills needed to succeed in higher-level math;
emphasis on concrete application and practical math.

Hourly classes held daily Monday through Thursday for three weeks.
Classes begin on the hour.
Choose the time which best fits your summer schedule.
Subject screening, psycho-educational assessments, other subject areas available by
